We invite you to a unique excursion to Lake Skadar — the largest lake in the Balkans, surrounded by pristine nature reserves and rich in history. The tour will begin early in the morning when our guide will pick you up from your accommodation. After a scenic drive up the mountains, we will make our first photo stop with a view of the Budva Riviera, and then head through Cetinje to the village of Rijeka Crnojevića
Our route will take you to Virpazar, an ancient fishing village, where the water portion of the excursion begins. You will be able to stroll along the waterfront, visit a market with handcrafted souvenirs, and see ancient buildings that have preserved the spirit of the past. From the boat, you will enjoy views of the lake’s crystal-clear waters, bird colonies, and water plantations of lilies and lotus flowers. The boat captain will treat you to traditional Montenegrin doughnuts with honey and homemade cheese, and will make a stop for swimming in the lake
The excursion also includes a visit to the “Žabljak Crnojevića” fortress and the famous viewpoint “Pavlova Strana,” where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake and its surroundings. At the end of the tour, we will head to the family-owned Šofranac winery for a tasting of homemade wines and liqueurs, and try local dishes such as fried eel, carp, Njeguški prosciutto, and much more
On the way back, a stop is planned at the Lipa Cave, where you can admire the stalactites and enjoy the coolness. The return to the hotel is scheduled for the evening
